Cookie Policy

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files your browser stores when you visit a website. They make it possible, for example, to keep you signed in or to remember your chosen language. Piumly uses essential (technical) cookies only — the platform would not work without them.

2. Essential cookies we use

Sign-in: Supabase cookies (names start with “sb-” and contain “auth-token”) keep your session active — they are only created after you sign in and are removed when you sign out. Language: the NEXT_LOCALE cookie remembers your chosen language (SK/EN) when it differs from the default. Cookie notice: browser storage (localStorage, key piumly-cookie-notice) remembers that you have already seen the cookie notice, so it is not shown repeatedly. Visit statistics: session storage (sessionStorage, key pv:entry) remembers during a single visit that your entry has already been counted, so it is not counted repeatedly — it is discarded when you close the tab.

3. What we do not use

No analytics, statistics or marketing cookies, no ad networks, no cross-site tracking and no profiling. If this ever changes, we will add a consent banner with the option to refuse and update this policy.

4. Third-party services

Card payments take place on Stripe's secure page (checkout.stripe.com) — Stripe sets its own cookies there under its privacy policy (stripe.com/privacy); Stripe does not set cookies on the Piumly domain. Forms are protected from spam by Cloudflare Turnstile, which according to Cloudflare does not use tracking cookies. For the paid Pro subscription, payment takes place on the secure page of the provider Paddle, which sets its own cookies there under its own policy. Signing in with Google happens on Google's page, which sets its own cookies there under its own policy.

5. Why we don't ask for consent

Under the ePrivacy Directive (and § 109(8) of Slovak Act No. 452/2021 Coll. on electronic communications), consent is not required for cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you explicitly requested (sign-in, language, core functionality). Since we use no other cookies, this notice is sufficient.

6. How to manage cookies

You can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings. However, blocking essential cookies will break sign-in and some parts of the platform.

7. Changes and contact

We will update this page whenever the cookies we use change. Questions about cookies and privacy can be sent via the contact form or the email listed in the Privacy Policy.
